Teen Therapy

Teen hands from different background on top of one another - Carolyn Caesar Psychotherapist

Adolescence can be a time of change, growth, and the exploration of gender, sexuality and identity. This life stage can create uncertainty and vulnerability, which can be overwhelming and scary. In addition to a growing teenage brain, adolescents often struggle with social, peer, family and academic pressures or changes.

Therapy for teens involves providing a safe space where they can navigate the challenging transition from childhood to adulthood. As a teen therapist, I draw on individual strengths to facilitate and develop resiliency.

Therapy for teenagers aims to support common struggles such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation/attempts, eating disorders, bullying, body-image/confidence, social skills, emotional regulation, neurodiversity (ASD and ADHD), identity development and experimentation with drugs, sex and alcohol.
