Carolyn Caesar (she/her)

Headshot of Carolyn Caesar a Registered Psychotherapist

I am a warm, humorous, down to earth, and empathetic individual, committed to providing a safe space for you to explore yourself and relationships with others. I spent the first 24 years of my career as a Registered Massage Therapist working in a multi-disciplinary practice. In addition to private practice, I was also part of four Canadian Olympic Medical Teams (Sidney, Athens, Beijing, and Tokyo) and covered a range of sports with a primary focus on rowing.  While a large part of my practice was working on sports injuries and covering Olympic games,  I also worked extensively with chronic and pelvic pain.

After spending 24 years supporting individuals’ physical health, I shifted my career to support and explore emotional health.  In 2014, I enrolled at the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counseling Program (OPC), where I completed a five-year program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have had a well-established private practice since 2017 that focuses on individuals, couples, and teens.

My practice has been greatly influenced by further education in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Dialectic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Compassion Therapy and Trauma Therapy. I have also completed the Intensive Sex Therapy Certification Program at the University of Guelph.

In addition to therapy, I offer clinical supervision for therapists seeking registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and supervise students in the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counseling Program. I am a knowledgeable and affirming practitioner of 2SLGBTQ+ identities and am a sex-positive therapist.

Outside of my private practice, I am a mother of two wonderful children, a partner to my husband and a constant learner. I enjoy reading, walking and spending time in the country with our Golden Retriever and two cats.
